Embracing the Journey: Paddling through Life

Hello, dear readers! Today, I’m excited to share something that’s near and dear to my heart—paddling. For many years, as soon as the ice melts, I eagerly jump back onto the lakes to start my paddling adventures. Recently, after one such paddle, I found myself driving down the highway to work, feeling relaxed and ready to tackle the day ahead.
Today’s Picture

Laurie Park- Nova Scotia
As I cruised along, I couldn’t help but notice something in the air—maybe it was the sunshine working its magic. A couple of cars pulled up beside me, racing like Formula 1 drivers. Just then, one muscle car accelerated without noticing a huge pothole ahead. The sight made me chuckle, but I couldn’t help but think about the hefty repair bill that might follow.
This incident got me reflecting on adrenaline. I understand the thrill of feeling that rush; there are moments when speed feels exhilarating. However, I believe that life is more like a marathon than a sprint. Personally, I’ve found that the incremental steps, though slow and sometimes uninspiring, often lead to the most significant gains in life.
Rushing through moments can lead to unexpected bumps in the road—like that pothole. Instead, it’s in the steady, deliberate pace that we discover true joy and fulfillment. So, as we navigate our lives, let’s cherish those moments and embrace the journey, celebrating every small victory along the way.
A couple of things that have filled my bucket! Note: I have had people in my life in all seasons that are true givers.
Giving to those in need
Giving a compliment
Giving by way of volunteer
Have an amazing day!

Ps Although I do love F1- perhaps saving the speed for the tracks is a more safe and less expensive option ❤️🙏
